Explore, with attention.
Strength, balance and flexibility, approached with curiosity. Make room for the parts of practice that come easily, and the ones that ask for patience.
Find strength in the effort, space in the breath, and a moment to hear yourself. Through movement, learn to notice what unfolds within—and carry that awareness beyond the mat.
Practise with Gorkem in Doha.
Come as you are, and let’s find a place to begin.

“Each movement is a chance to notice.
Each breath, a chance to begin again.”
Pura is an invitation to notice. The breath, the effort, the urge to rush—and the thoughts that arise along the way. To observe them as they come and go, without having to follow each one. Each movement offers a chance to practise being here.

Strength, balance and flexibility, approached with curiosity. Make room for the parts of practice that come easily, and the ones that ask for patience.
A quieter rhythm to move with. Notice how the breath changes, and allow space between effort and the next movement.
Thoughts and feelings come and go. The mat is a place to observe them, and practise choosing how to respond.

Gorkem is a former architect and academic who served as an Assistant Professor at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in Istanbul. She began practising yoga in 2016 while writing her doctoral thesis, finding a space to slow down and reconnect with herself amid the demands of academic life.
What began as a personal practice gradually grew into a desire to share it. In 2023, she completed her Yoga Alliance-approved 200-hour yoga teacher training at Yogasala Istanbul, followed by a further 40-hour mentorship training.
Now based in Doha, Gorkem brings the curiosity and attention to detail that shaped her work in architecture to her teaching. Her approach invites students to explore movement, observe their thoughts and find their own rhythm.
Through Pura Move, she creates a welcoming space to build strength, deepen awareness and carry a little more stillness into everyday life.
